Lieutenant Colonel Charles A. Breaux
Commanding Officer
4th Distribution Support Battalion

Lieutenant Colonel Breaux hails from Denham Springs, Louisiana and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in May 2008 upon graduation from the United States Naval Academy. 

Following initial training, he reported to 2d Battalion, 5th Marines in 2009 for duty as the Maintenance Management Officer and deployed to the Western Pacific with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU). 

In 2010, he was assigned as the Assistant Battalion Logistics Officer. He deployed with the 31st MEU again and supported humanitarian aid and disaster relief operations following the Tohoku earthquake in March 2011 as part of Operation TOMODACHI. 

He then served as the Logistics Advisor and Executive Officer of the battalion's Afghan National Army training team, which deployed in support of the 3d Kandak, 2nd Brigade, 215th Corps as part of OEF 12.1-12.2. He returned to the United States and received orders to the School of Infantry (West) (SOI(W)). 

From 2012 to 2014, he served as the SOI(W) Logistics Officer, responsible for all logistics support to more than 17,000 students annually and over 1,000 permanent personnel. Lieutenant Colonel Breaux left active duty in July 2014 and served as a member of the Individual Ready Reserve until joining 4th Marine Aircraft Wing in 2016. 

From 2016 to 2023, he served as the 4th MAW G-4 Logistics Operations Officer and MAG-41 S-4. During this time, he participated in Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Kodiak Arctic Care in Alaska, Integrated Training Exercise 4-22 in California, as well as various unit training events around the country. 

From 2023 to 2026, he served as the Operations Officer and Executive Officer of the Marine Corps Cyberspace Warfare Group IMA detachment, where he coordinated the training and first-ever certification of a Marine Corps Reserve cyber protection team element.
