LtCol Pagragan commissioned in the United States Marine Corps in 2008 and completed the Field Artillery Officer's Basic Course in 2010, before reporting to 5th Battalion 10th Marines at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He was assigned to Battery R for duty as the Fire Direction Officer and Guns Platoon Commander. He was then assigned as an Individual Augment with 2nd Marine Division (FWD) as the Division Protocol and VIP Coordinator in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from 2010-2011, Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Upon redeployment to CONUS he was assigned as the Battery Executive Officer for Battery R, 5th Battalion 10th Marines.
In January 2012 he was attached to 3rd Battalion 8th Marines as the Fire Support Coordinator in support of combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. In November of 2012 Captain Pagragan was selected be the Officer Selection Officer, Lexington, Kentucky in 2013, serving three years before separating from the active component.
From 2016-2021, As a member of the Selective Marine Corps Reserve, Major Pagragan has served as a Forward Air Controller for 2nd Bn 25th Marines, an exercise controller as a part of the Individual Mobilization Augmentee program assigned to Marine Forces Pacific, and various roles at 3d Bn 14th Marines, ultimately serving as the Battery Commander for Battery G, 3d Bn 14th Marines in Fort Dix, NJ.
In 2021 Major Pagragan was assessed to the Active Reserve program and was selected to serve as the Aide-de-Camp for the Commanding General Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces North. From that assignment he was assigned to the Marine Forces Reserve G-8, Capabilities and Development Branch working on assessing small craft adoption and the development of the Marine Innovation Unit.
In 2022, Major Pagragan transferred to 3d Bn 14th Marines serving as the Bn S-4 and the Executive Officer.
Since separating from active duty, Major Pagragan has served in various private sector roles in marketing, public relations, and sales. He is currently a Marketing and Communications Manager for Corning Incorporated. He also sits on the board of directors for the Connecticut Economic Resource Committee (CERC) and is chair for the marketing committee, an organization designed to recruit new businesses to Connecticut.
He is a graduate of the College of Naval Command and Staff and Joint fire support courses. He has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Norwich University and a Master of Business Administration from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University.
His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, three Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and the Marine Corps Recruiting Ribbon.
