Captain Michael F. Minigell
Inspector-Instructor
Mike Battery, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment

Captain Minigell is a native of Lewiston, Maine. He graduated from the University of Maine in 2016. In January 2021, he attended Officer Candidates School and received his commission as a Second Lieutenant on March 27, 2021.

After completing Officer Candidates School, he attended The Basic School (TBS) in Quantico, Virginia, graduating on October 1, 2021. He then reported to Fort Sill, Oklahoma, for the Marine Artillery Officer Basic Course, which he completed in March 2022. Upon completion, he reported to 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, where he served as a Platoon Commander for Battery C.

In August 2022, he became the Battery Fire Direction Officer for Battery C. On March 27, 2023, he was promoted to First Lieutenant. Captain Minigell was then attached to Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, and deployed with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) from April 2024 to November 2024 as the Battery Fire Direction Officer. During this deployment, he participated in exercises Ssang Yong 24 in the Republic of Korea, and Kamandag 8 in the Philippines. Upon returning from the MEU, Captain served as the Battery Executive Officer for Battery C until June 2025. Captain Minigell will be assuming the Inspector-Instructor billet for Battery M, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marines in July of 2025.
