Captain Jacob P. Yeager
Inspector-Instructor
Golf Battery, 3rd Battalion, 14th Marines

Captain Yeager was raised in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He graduated from Radford University in Radford Virginia May 2013 and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps the same day. Upon completion of Field Artillery Basic Officer Leadership Course aboard Ft. Sill Oklahoma, Captain Yeager reported to 1ST Battalion 12TH Marines aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii. From January 2015 to June 2016, Captain Yeager served as Fire Direction Officer and Guns Platoon Commander for Bravo Battery. He deployed with the Battery apart of the Unit Deployment Program to Okinawa, Japan, supporting various training operations throughout the country. Upon returning back to Hawaii, Captain Yeager served as the Battalion Fire Support Officer for 1ST Battalion 3D Marines and deployed in support of both 1ST Battalion 3D Marines and 3D Battalion 12TH Marines back to Okinawa, Japan from April - November 2017. February 2018 Captain Yeager received orders to 2D Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company (ANGLICO) aboard Camp Lejeune North Carolina and was promoted to his current rank April 2018. During his time with 2D ANGLICO, Captain Yeager attended Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) course and served as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) with the unit. During his tour with 2D ANGLICO, he participated in Green Cannon 18 integrating with 29 Royal Commando Regiment apart of the Royal Marines. He also participated in Trident Juncture 18, a NATO led exercise, simulating a NATO Article 5 conflict, with the 24TH Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU). Captain Yeager then deployed with the 24TH MEU under the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force Crisis Response Africa (SPMAGTF CR-AF) banner to Naval Air Station Sigonella (NASSIG) from April to September 2019. During this deployment he served as a the Senior Watch Officer for the NASSIG component of the SPMAGTF as well as participated in several training exercises with the Italian Armed Forces as well as with the United States Air Force providing fire support coordination and observation as a JTAC. Captain Yeager reported to his current command July 2020 and is currently serving as the Golf Battery, 3D Battalion 14TH Marines, Inspector-Instructor. February 2018 Captain Yeager received orders to 2D Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company (ANGLICO) aboard Camp Lejeune North Carolina and was promoted to his current rank April 2018.
