First Sergeant Warren T.B. Newell
Inspector-Instructor Unit Senior Enlisted Leader
Fox Battery, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment

First Sergeant Newell is a native of Fort Worth, TX. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in June, 2005 and graduated from 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, San Diego, California on 8 September 2005. Upon completion of Marine Combat Training at the School of Infantry in Camp Pendleton, California he was assigned to Motor Vehicle Operators Course, Fort Leonard Wood Missouri, where he received the military occupational specialty of 3531 (Motor Transport Operator) and was promoted to Private First Class. 
 
First Sergeant Newell received orders to 9th Engineer Support Battalion and in December, 2005 and was assigned to a Sub Unit at Camp Mujuk, South Korea From 2005 to 2006. During this time he supported Marine Expedition Units with training assistance while in the region of South Korea. 
 
In 2006 First Sergeant Newell returned to Parent Command 9th (ESB) Okinawa Japan to deploy to the Philippines to assist with Global War on Terror Campaign. During this tenure with 9th Engineer Support Battalion First Sergeant Newell was promoted to Corporal. 
 
In 2007 First Sergeant Newell requested orders to 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, and  reported in February 2008. While being stationed with 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion First Sergeant Newell deployed to Ramadi Iraq and (2) tours to Afghanistan. (2008-2011) during this tour First Sergeant Newell was promoted to Sergeant in October 2009.
 
In 2012 First Sergeant Newell received orders and reported to Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS )272, MCAS New River, North Carolina in February 2012. During his tour First Sergeant Newell obtained the Marine Occupational Specialty of 3534 Semi-Refueler Operator. First Sergeant Newell served as Motor Transport Chief, Truck Master, Squadron Operations Chief for MWSS, and shift lead for Marine Corps Air Station New River Headquarters and Support Battalion flight line fuel operations section.
 
In October 2015 he was promoted to Staff Sergeant and received orders for Combat Logistics Battalion-15 Camp Pendleton, California. During this tour First Sergeant Newell served as the Motor Transport Chief for Transportation Support Detachment and through the 15th MEU 17-2 deployment, while deployed First Sergeant Newell was selected to forward deploy to Iraq in support of Operation Inherent Resolve for Task Force Al-Asad. 
 
In 2018 First Sergeant Newell Volunteered and received orders for Basic Recruiting School. After graduation, First Sergeant Newell reported to Recruiting Station Kansas City and was assigned to Permanent Contact Station (PCS) Harrison Arkansas from September 2018 through September 2020. First Sergeant Newell was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant and was assigned as the Recruiting Sub-Station Staff Non-Commissioned Officer until September 2021.
 
In 2021 First Sergeant Newell received orders and reported to 2nd Battalion 11 Marines in October 2021. First Sergeant Newell received Temporary Assigned Duty(TAD) orders shortly after reporting to unit and and reported to the 15 Marine Expeditionary Unit(MEU) Command Element in December 2021 through April 2022 in support of  Iron Fist 2022 until returning to Headquarter Battery 2/11. First Sergeant Newell reported Golf Battery in March 2022 as the Motor Transport Chief where he trained for the 31st MEU deployment in Okinawa Japan with 1st Battalion 4th Marines. After returning from Deployment, First Sergeant Newell reported to Echo Battery to train and deploy again with 31st MEU Okinawa with 1st Battalion 1st Marines. Upon Returning from Deployment First Sergeant Newell received orders as Inspector-Instructor First Sergeant, Oklahoma City OK. 
 
First Sergeant Newell reported to I&I station Oklahoma City in July 2024 and currently serves as the Inspector-Instuctor 1stSgt for Fox Battery 2d Battalion 14th Marine Regiment.
 
His Personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two gold star in lieu of 3rd award, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with three gold star in lieu of 4th award, Combat action Ribbon.
