Biography

 

Captain Alexander J. LaBruno
Company Commander
Company E, 2nd Battalion 25th Marine Regiment

Captain LaBruno is a native of Philadelphia, PA. Captain LaBruno attended Officer Candidate School in June of 2015 in Quantico, VA as a part of the PLC program. Upon graduating from the University of San Diego with a Bachelors of Accountancy, he commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in June 2016.

Upon commissioning, Captain LaBruno served on active duty at the Philadelphia Officer Selection Office until moving to Quantico, VA to attend The Basic School. Captain LaBruno attended the Infantry Officer Course in July of 2017.

After completing the Infantry Officer Course, he was assigned to 3D Light Armored Reconnaissance (LAR) Battalion, Twentynine Palms, California as Charlie Company, 2nd Platoon Commander. In March of 2018, Captain LaBruno graduated from LAR Leader’s Course in Camp Pendleton, CA. In November of 2018, he deployed with Charlie Company to Okinawa, Japan in support of the Unit Deployment Program (UDP). Upon returning from deployment in 2019, Captain LaBruno served as the Executive Officer of H&S Company and attended the Fire Support Coordination Center (FSCC) Course.

In June of 2020, Captain LaBruno received orders to Tactical Training Exercise Control Group (TTECG) where he served as the LAR Lead and a Fire Support Team controller.

Captain LaBruno transitioned to the reserve component in September of 2022 and checked into the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) where he served as a Project Officer in the Experiments Division. He graduated with a Masters of Business Administration from Georgetown University in May of 2024.

In July of 2024, Captain LaBruno took command of Echo Company, 2D Battalion, 25th Marines.
