Sergeant Major Lloyd H. Crabtree assumed his current post as the Inspector-Instructor, Command Senior Enlisted Leader for 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marines in March 2026.
 
Sergeant Major Crabtree is a native of Lakeport, California. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in February 2003 and graduated recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego, California in November 2003. Upon completion of Marine Combat Training, he attended Marine Corps Engineer School at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and attained the military occupational specialty of 1371, Combat Engineer.
 
Sergeant Major Crabtree's assignments include: Combat Engineer, 9th Engineer Support Battalion (Mar 04-Jul 05); Team Leader, Marine Wing Support Squadron 272 (Jul 05-Aug 07); Demolition Range Instructor, The Basic School (Aug 07-Nov 09); Squad Leader, Platoon Guide, Sapper Instructor, and Facilities Chief, 1st Combat Engineer Battalion (Nov 09-Oct 14); Platoon Sergeant, Marine Wing Support Squadron 274 (Oct 14-Jun 16); Instructor, Company Gunnery Sergeant, and Unit Senior Enlisted Leader (USEL), Marine Corps Engineer School (Jun 16-Jun 19); Engineer Chief, Combat Logistics Battalion 13 (Jun 19-Jan 22); USEL, 1st Battalion, 4th Marines (Jan 22-Oct 23); USEL, 1st Intelligence Battalion (Oct 23-Mar 26).

Sergeant Major Crabtree holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. His personal military decorations include: Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (x2); Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (x3); Combat Action Ribbon (x2).
