Lieutenant Colonel Candice D. Creecy
Commanding Officer
6th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company

Lieutenant Colonel Creecy is a native of Colorado. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Colorado State University – Pueblo in 2004. She attended Officer Candidate School and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in 2005. In June 2006, she graduated The Basic School on the Commanding General’s Honor Roll and reported to Marine Aviation Training Support Group (MATSG) – 21, Pensacola, FL.

Second Lieutenant Creecy trained aboard NAS Pensacola for Aviation Preflight Indoctrination (API), Primary and Intermediate Flight Training with VT-4, and Advanced Flight Training with VT-86. In October 2008, First Lieutenant Creecy received her Naval Flight Officer wings. She was selected for the F/A-18 Hornet and received orders to VMFAT-101 at MCAS Miramar for initial F/A-18 Weapons Systems Officer (WSO) flight training.

In May 2010, Captain Creecy was assigned to VMFA(AW)-225 at MCAS Miramar. During her time with the “Vikings” she earned qualifications as Section Lead and Forward Air Controller – Airborne (FAC-A). Captain Creecy executed two deployments to MCAS Iwakuni, Japan in support of the Unit Deployment Program (UDP) in September 2010 and July 2012.

In May 2013, Captain Creecy reported to Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape School – East (SERE) where she served as the Instructor Training Officer, Advanced Instructor Training Officer, and Watch Officer. In April 2017, she attended the Marine Corps Civil-Military Operations School graduating with the additional MOS of Civil Affairs Officer. In May 2017, she was promoted to Major.

In June 2017, Major Creecy accepted a commission into the Marine Corps Reserves and received orders to 2nd Civil Affairs Group where she served as a Civil Affairs Team Lead and Assistant Detachment Commander. From October 2018 – May 2019, Major Creecy assisted in the transition of 2nd Civil Affairs Group to Marine Corps Advisor Company – Alpha. In August 2019, Major Creecy attended Tactical Air Control Party School (TACP) and was designated a Forward Air Controller (FAC).

In September 2019, Major Creecy received orders to 6th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company (ANGLICO) located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. At 6th ANGLICO, Major Creecy served as Fire Team Control Leader, Brigade Platoon Air Officer, JTAC-Instructor, JTAC-Evaluator, Brigade Platoon Commander, and Operations Officer. In May 2023, Major Creecy received orders to Force Headquarters Group as the Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff G-3/5 and was subsequently promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.

Lieutenant Colonel Creecy’s civilian and military education include Expeditionary Warfare School, Command and Staff College, Master of Medical Science – PA Studies from Wake Forest School of Medicine, Emergency Medicine Fellowship from Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, and Master of Business Administration from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Lieutenant Colonel Creecy currently works as a consultant and an emergency medicine physician assistant.

Lieutenant Colonel Creecy’s personal awards include Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
