About

U.S. Marines with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 234, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, Marine Forces Reserve, and Marine Wing Support Squadron 473, 4th MAW, MARFORRES, did their part following the storm conducting refueling and resupply missions to Marathon, Florida, in wake of Hurricane Irma to aid and assist the affected areas of the Florida Keys, beginning on Sept. 10, 2017.

Vice Admiral Robin Braun, chief of the Navy Reserve, presents Navy Reserve Centennial coins to Religious Program Specialist Seaman Kobi Cupps, an RP with Marine Expeditionary Fleet Religious Support Unit, and Religious Programs Master Chief Daniel Dodds, 4th Marine Division Force RP, at the Marine Forces Reserve Chaplaincy Training seminar at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans, Feb. 5, 2015. Braun spoke about the Navy Reserve’s goals for the next 10 years, including cultivating leadership, advancing technology, furthering force readiness and relevance, as well as upcoming changes to the Navy Reserve in light of its 100th anniversary on March 3, 2015. Established during World War I, the Navy Reserve’s mission is to deliver strategic depth and operational capabilities to the Navy, Marine Corps, and joint forces. The MARFORRES Chaplaincy training seminar focused on preparing chaplains and RPs throughout MARFORRES to support Reserve Marines across the world.
