About

Marines from 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, participate in exercise Riley Xanten II, in Burwash, Ontario, Feb. 3-5, 2017. During the exercise, the Marines joined soldiers from the Canadian Armed Forces to exchange knowledge and increase proficiency in cold weather tactics, survival skills, shelter building, ice fishing, and more.

Weapons Company conducts Water Survival Annual Training
Marines with Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, conduct a four-minute water tread during water survival qualification as part of their annual training during Exercise Heavy Metal 2014 at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina Aug. 11, 2014. As the Marines tread water, Marine Corps Instructors of Water Survival swim nearby with life preservers, carefully monitoring the condition of the Marines as they complete the challenge.
