About

Marines from 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, participate in exercise Riley Xanten II, in Burwash, Ontario, Feb. 3-5, 2017. During the exercise, the Marines joined soldiers from the Canadian Armed Forces to exchange knowledge and increase proficiency in cold weather tactics, survival skills, shelter building, ice fishing, and more.

Marine Forces Reserve birthday ball

Liss, the oldest Marine present, during the MARFORRES birthday ball at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, Nov. 19, 2016. Liss enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1953 as a cannoneer, and retired in 1984 as the Sergeant Major of 4th Marine Division in New Orleans. Each year, a ball is hosted to celebrate the birthday of the Corps and to remember Marines who have given the ultimate sacrifice.
