About

Marines from 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, participate in exercise Riley Xanten II, in Burwash, Ontario, Feb. 3-5, 2017. During the exercise, the Marines joined soldiers from the Canadian Armed Forces to exchange knowledge and increase proficiency in cold weather tactics, survival skills, shelter building, ice fishing, and more.

"Santa Meets Sousa" holiday concert

Chief Warrant Officer 3 Michael J. Smith, band officer of Marine Corps Band New Orleans, conducts the band as they perform a rendition of “Greensleeves” at the Saenger Theatre, Dec. 10, 2016, during the “Santa Meets Sousa” holiday concert. The performance was the third in the regional concert series that served to benefit the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. Toys for Tots is a nationwide program that collects new, unwrapped toys for less-fortunate children in the community. Since its inception in 1947, Toys for Tots has distributed 512 million toys to 237 million children.
