Marines from 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, participate in exercise Riley Xanten II, in Burwash, Ontario, Feb. 3-5, 2017. During the exercise, the Marines joined soldiers from the Canadian Armed Forces to exchange knowledge and increase proficiency in cold weather tactics, survival skills, shelter building, ice fishing, and more.

Maj. David. J. Palka - Bronze Star Presentation

Maj. David J. Palka, assistant battalion inspector-instructor, 5th Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, is presented the Bronze Star with "V" device for valor during a Bronze Star Presentation on Camp Pendleton, Calif., May 1, 2017. Maj. Palka received the Bronze Star for heroic service in connection with combat operations against the enemy while serving as a Commander, Battery E, Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion 6th Marine Regiment, 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, in support of Operation Inherent Resolve from 12 March to 25 May 2016.
