About

Marines from 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, participate in exercise Riley Xanten II, in Burwash, Ontario, Feb. 3-5, 2017. During the exercise, the Marines joined soldiers from the Canadian Armed Forces to exchange knowledge and increase proficiency in cold weather tactics, survival skills, shelter building, ice fishing, and more.

John Jarrard, right, commanding general, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, checked on the current operations of the Navy Reserve Center at NRC Chattanooga, Chattanooga, Tennessee, July 16th, 2025. NRC Chattanooga provides training, administrative support, and readiness resources for Navy Reserve personnel. The center plays a vital role in preparing reservists for mobilization and supporting Navy operations both locally and globally.
