About

Marines from 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, participate in exercise Riley Xanten II, in Burwash, Ontario, Feb. 3-5, 2017. During the exercise, the Marines joined soldiers from the Canadian Armed Forces to exchange knowledge and increase proficiency in cold weather tactics, survival skills, shelter building, ice fishing, and more.

The Freedom Award is given annually to select employers throughout the continental U.S., Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands to qualified employers who show outstanding support to employees who serve in the Reserve and Guard. The Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, approves the final winners of the Freedom Award.
