About

Marines of Marine Forces Reserve are participating in WTI 1-18 during their annual training to increase their proficiency with the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System and to build experience using HIMARS to fire Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System rockets, advancing their combat effectiveness and readiness for future exercises and deployments.

Machut returns to Arctic Circle, visits service members supporting Arctic Care
Capt. Tom Fantes, a doctor in 4th Medical Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group, demonstrates the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application to Brig. Gen. Roger R. Machut, the commanding general of 4th MLG, during a training session here, April 14. AHLTA will be used during Innovative Readiness Training Arctic Care 2013 to help uniformed personnel capture medical records of Alaskan patients and provide a uniform format usable by other medical providers. IRT Arctic Care is a multi-service humanitarian and training program focusing on enhancing the interoperability and capacity of U.S. forces in peacetime support operations, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. The exercise is primarily a Reserve effort with Marine Forces Reserve taking the lead and receiving logistical and medical support from the National Guard, Army Reserve, Navy Reserve and Air Force Reserve.
