Marines of Marine Forces Reserve are participating in WTI 1-18 during their annual training to increase their proficiency with the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System and to build experience using HIMARS to fire Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System rockets, advancing their combat effectiveness and readiness for future exercises and deployments.

NFL’s “Salute to Service” campaign recognizes the Marine Forces Reserve Centennial

Service members from each military branch lead players of the San Francisco 49ers onto the field before the singing of the national anthem by Captain Skye Martins, public affairs officer for 12th Marine district. The National Football League’s “Salute to Service” highlighted the Marine Forces Reserve Centennial during the 49ers’ game against the New Orleans Saints, Nov. 6, 2016. Today, approximately 500 Reserve Marines are providing fully integrated operational support to Fleet and Combatant Commanders around the world.
