Marines of Marine Forces Reserve are participating in WTI 1-18 during their annual training to increase their proficiency with the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System and to build experience using HIMARS to fire Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System rockets, advancing their combat effectiveness and readiness for future exercises and deployments.

ARCTIC EDGE 24: U.S. Marines and U.S. Army soldiers conduct joint HIMARS drills

U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army service members conduct joint High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) drills in preparation of exercise Arctic Edge 2024 in Fort Greely, Alaska, Feb. 18, 2024. The HIMARS weapon system is a highly mobile artillery rocket system that fires six guided missiles in quick succession. ARCTIC EDGE 2024 (AE24) is a U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise demonstrating the U.S. military’s capabilities in extreme cold weather, joint force readiness, and U.S. military commitment to mutual strategic security interests in the Arctic region.
