Marines of Marine Forces Reserve are participating in WTI 1-18 during their annual training to increase their proficiency with the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System and to build experience using HIMARS to fire Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System rockets, advancing their combat effectiveness and readiness for future exercises and deployments.

ARCTIC EDGE 24: Marine Aerial Refueler Squadron (VMGR) 234

A KC-130J Hercules assigned to Marine Aerial Refueler Squadron (VMGR) 234, Marine Aircraft Group 41, 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, taxis in Kotzebue, Alaska, Feb. 27, 2024. The aircraft is transporting a detachment of 19th Special Forces Group (Airborne) Green Berets from Texas as part of Arctic Edge 24 (AE24). Special Operations Command North deployed more than 400 joint and allied Special Operations Forces across the pan-Arctic region, stretching from Alaska to Greenland, during AE24 to advance SOF capabilities and readiness in extreme cold weather and high latitude environments.
