Marines of Marine Forces Reserve are participating in WTI 1-18 during their annual training to increase their proficiency with the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System and to build experience using HIMARS to fire Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System rockets, advancing their combat effectiveness and readiness for future exercises and deployments.

Marine Forces Reserve 2024 Civilian of the Year Awards

U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Leonard Anderson IV, middle, commander of Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) and Marine Forces South, presents the Senior Civilian of the Year award to Debbie Wanko, deputy assistant chief of staff G-8, MARFORRES, during the Marine Forces Reserve 2024 Civilian of the Year awards at Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans, July 23, 2025. Wanko received the senior Civilian of the Year award for her expert knowledge, fiscal readiness and operational effectiveness as she managed a budget of $450 million, Wanko’s expertise directly contributed to a historic fiscal year ending, resulting in a 99.9 percent obligation rate and MARFORRES' first clean audit.
