JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX LAKEHURST, N.J.—Marines from Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 772 load a CH-53E Super Stallion onto a C-5 Galaxy May 30, 2013, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. Nearly half of HMH-772 departed the joint base May 30-31, 2013, for a six-month deployment to Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Japan. About 25 World War II Iwo Jima veterans were in attendance at the 68th Anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima luncheon ceremony at the Marine’s Memorial Hotel March 13, 2013. The event was an opportunity to accentuate the connection between the WWII-era 4th Marine Division with today's 4th Marine Division and Marine Forces Reserve.
