Despite the government shutdown, the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve remains fully engaged. ESGR is a Department of Defense agency that seeks to promote a culture in which all American employers support and value the military service of their employees.

The Marine Forces Reserve liaison is ready to help Reserve Marines find employment, recognize their employers for outstanding support, understand their employment rights and help resolve employer conflict through mediation. ESGR seeks to prevent issues between employers and service members through proactive education of employers and Reserve service members about the Uniformed Service Employment and Reemployment Rights Act

“The ESGR state committee members and Reserve component liaisons will always remain vigilant and work to maintain the critical relationship between employers and service members,” said R.J. “Toby” Tobin, the MARFORRES ESGR Reserve component liaison.

For more information about ESGR and how the Reserve component liaison can help, visit the ESGR website or call (504) 697-8198.
