Marine administrative message 018/14 announced the fiscal year 2015 enlisted to warrant officer selection board, allowing enlisted Reserve Marines to apply to become warrant officers in the Selected Marine Corps Reserve. Application packages must be submitted to Marine Forces Reserve G-1 by March 24, 2014.

Applicants must have between eight and 20 years of qualifying naval service, and be affiliated with the SMCR, Active-Reserve program, mobilized Reserve, Individual Ready Reserve or standby Reserve.

In addition to the service-time requirement, applying Marines should have extensive technical knowledge in their occupational field and unquestionable moral character.

Marines will be applying to fill a specific billet, a list of which can be found in section 2B of the MARADMIN. There are opportunities available around the country and within every major subordinate command of Marine Forces Reserve.

Following the board, which will be convening approximately June 3, 2014, selected Marines will attend the active-duty Warrant Officer Basic Course and any required military occupational specialty courses.
