New Orleans -- The Department of Defense Sexual Assault Prevention and Response office will recognize reserve, active-duty and civilian, members from each branch of military service who hold the position of sexual assault response coordinator. The award recognizes coordinators who demonstrate noteworthy and outstanding service in support of service members.
The awardees will be recognized in April 2015 during Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention month.
Nominees must meet the following requirements: they must be military or federal civilians, they must be certified through the DoD Sexual Assault Advocate Certification Program and must be appointed in writing. They must also be in good standing and have served as the SARC at some point during the time frame of Jan. 1, 2014 to Dec. 31, 2014.
The nominee’s submission should include their full name, office and mobile phone numbers, an e-mail address, a digital head-and-shoulders color photograph, a narrative of the nominee’s exceptional work and an endorsement by the first general officer in the chain of command.
