Marine administrative message 368/15 solicits Marines for
the fiscal year 16 Equal Opportunity Advisor Program and provides points of
contact for candidates that wish to apply for class 15-3 that convenes on Sept.
7, 2015.
EOA Marines are assigned to major Marine Corps commands to
provide information, assistance and advice on all EO matters to the commanding
general, commanding officer, Marines, Sailors and other attached service
members.
Marines selected for assignment as EOAs will attend a 12-week
EOA course at the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute at Patrick Air
Force Base, Fla. during fiscal year 2016.
Individuals submitting for an EOA billet must meet the
following basic criteria:

Marine must be a staff sergeant through master
gunnery sergeant. Due to billet requirements, first sergeants and sergeants
major are not eligible.

Marine is a high school graduate or has a GED
and a GT score of 105 or higher.

Marines must have completed 24 months time-on-station
upon reporting to the class. Marines will also extend or re-enlist to meet a
minimum 36 months of obligated service as of the date of graduation from the EOA
course. Orders will reflect a 36-month tour of duty. Marines must be eligible
to extend or reenlist to meet the eligibility requirements stated above.
Submit requests, appropriate endorsements, and commanding
officer's screening guide through the chain of command via Total Force
Retention System no later than Sept. 15, 2015.
