Gregory Zieba, the first sergeant of Detachment 1, Communications Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 45, 4th Marine Logistics Group, of Peru, Ind., reads a letter from the Commandant of the Marine Corps to Mary Cochrane. the Marines delivered a birthday cake to Cochrane for her 100th birthday, April 18, 2014. Cochrane served as a motor transportation operator during World War II. She celebrated her birthday Friday with family at her home in Remington, Ind.
