Burns served in the Marine Corps from 1955-1957 and also served as a U.S. Senator from 1989- 2007. Marine Forces Reserve performed 91 percent of all funeral honors rendered by the Marine Corps in calendar year 2015 and continues to provide timely and professional support to veterans.
