Maj. Byron W. Duke practices Marine Corps Martial Arts with Lance Cpl. Christopher A. Barroso during a gray belt class here Nov. 7, 2008. Duke, an F/18 Hornet fighter pilot by trade, has spent a total of 17 years on active and reserve duty in the Corps. He served as the infantry battalion's executive officer for their 2008 to 2009 deployment. Duke is a commerical airline pilot in his civilian career.
