Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 4-17 is a live-fire and maneuver combined arms exercise designed to train battalion and squadron-sized units in tactics, techniques, and procedures required to provide a sustainable and ready operational reserve for employment across the full spectrum of crisis and global engagement.

This was part of a MARFORRES Total Force Fitness event inspired by the 18th anniversary of 9/11 and the efforts of the first responders at the World Trade Center. The exercise consisted of Marines ascending and descending a five story stairwell 11 times, resulting in a total of 110 stories, which is equivalent to the height of the World Trade Center.
