Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 4-17 is a live-fire and maneuver combined arms exercise designed to train battalion and squadron-sized units in tactics, techniques, and procedures required to provide a sustainable and ready operational reserve for employment across the full spectrum of crisis and global engagement.

David Keith, the Marine Corps Reserve maintenance chief and staff noncommissioned officer–in-charge of additive manufacturing for Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 49 (MALS-49), discusses with Senator Kirsten E. Keith was board selected to the Marine Innovation Unit (MIU) as part of the Innovation Laboratory due to his unique skill as an additive manufacturer for MALS-49 to further advance Marine Corps technology. The MIU is a newly activated unit designed to accelerate advanced capabilities, transform Naval Service capacity for technology employment, and retain and invest in highly skilled Marines in support of Force Design 2030 and the Commandant of the Marine Corps’ initiatives.
