Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 4-17 is a live-fire and maneuver combined arms exercise designed to train battalion and squadron-sized units in tactics, techniques, and procedures required to provide a sustainable and ready operational reserve for employment across the full spectrum of crisis and global engagement.

The tactical decision game consists of a mission-based scenario in which the members of a team must work together to create a plan to complete the mission. The purpose of the Leadership Reaction Course is to improve leadership and interoperability among partner nation militaries through various mission-based challenges. UNITAS focuses on strengthening existing regional partnerships and encouraging the establishment of new relationships through the exchange of maritime mission-focused knowledge and expertise.
