Reserve Marines from 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division participate in Exercise Dynamic Front 19 in Latvia from March 2-9, 2019. Exercise DF19 is a multinational exercise conducted by the U.S. Army in Europe that is designed to improve allied and partner nation ability to deliver long-range fires capabilities. Approximately 3,200 participants from 29 nations are taking part in the live-fire portion of the exercise, which is designed to increase readiness, lethality, and interoperability by integrating joint fires in a multinational environment at both the operational and tactical levels.

Throughout the course of the exercise, casualties with various injuries were sent to the Shock Trauma Platoon and then to the operating room where the medical staff would quickly evaluate them and perform the necessary treatment for stabilization, such as the casualty depicted above who had shrapnel stuck in his chest from an improvised explosive device.
