About

Reserve Marines from 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division participate in Exercise Dynamic Front 19 in Latvia from March 2-9, 2019. Exercise DF19 is a multinational exercise conducted by the U.S. Army in Europe that is designed to improve allied and partner nation ability to deliver long-range fires capabilities. Approximately 3,200 participants from 29 nations are taking part in the live-fire portion of the exercise, which is designed to increase readiness, lethality, and interoperability by integrating joint fires in a multinational environment at both the operational and tactical levels.

Hometown Heroes of Winter Break 2018

Sgt. Trenton Hammonds is a Red Springs, North Carolina native and Reserve Marine with Company F, 4th Tank Battalion, 4th Marine Division. A natural leader, Hammonds is mentoring junior Marines during exercise Winter Break 2018 at Camp Grayling, Michigan, Feb. 4-17, 2018. When he's not training Marines in his capacity as a tank commander, Hammonds works as a maintenance supervisor for an apartment complex at the University of North Carolina, Pembroke.
