Leon C. Standifer, a World War II veteran who received the Legion of Honor medal, France’s highest reward for valor, talks with Col. Gregg T. Habel, Marine Forces Reserve chief of staff, during a French navy reception aboard Germinal, April 18, 2012. The reception was held in honor of the War of 1812 Commemoration.
