ABOUT

Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 4-19 is a live-fire and maneuver combined arms exercise designed to train battalion and squadron-sized units in tactics, techniques, and procedures required to provide a sustainable and ready operational reserve for employment across the full spectrum of crisis and global engagement.

ITX 4-19 is an essential component of the MARFORRES training and readiness cycle.  It serves as the principal exercise for assessing a unit's capabilities.

Marine awarded MARFORRES Marine of the Year
Sgt. Adam K. Smith completes a night hike during the culminating event of his Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor course at Naval Air Station/Joint Reserve Base New Orleans, Sept. 14, 2011. Smith, the repairable issue point chief for Marine Forces Reserve G4 (logistics and services), was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal after he was selected as the MARFORRES 2012 Marine of the Year (active component). Smith uses the training he received to train other Marines to “belt-up” in MCMAP.
