ABOUT

Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 4-19 is a live-fire and maneuver combined arms exercise designed to train battalion and squadron-sized units in tactics, techniques, and procedures required to provide a sustainable and ready operational reserve for employment across the full spectrum of crisis and global engagement.

ITX 4-19 is an essential component of the MARFORRES training and readiness cycle.  It serves as the principal exercise for assessing a unit's capabilities.

Enlisted Marines Experience What it Takes to Become a Marine Officer
Marines with Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES) explore The National Museum of The Marine Corps in Triangle, Va., Aug. 20, 2021, during a Summer Officer Tour. Enlisted Marines visited various exhibits within the museum which display the unique history of the United States Marine Corps and the legacy that current and future Marines must uphold. Marines participated in the Commander of MARFORRES and Marine Forces South’s inaugural Summer Officer Tour to gain insight into the journey of becoming a Marine Corps Officer. The tour included visits to Officer Candidates School, The Basic School, Marine Corps University and Marine Barracks Washington. MARFORRES is seeking to identify high performing Active Component, Active Reserve and Selected Marine Corps Reserve Marines, who offer unique perspectives, to pursue a commission as an officer in an effort to better prepare the Marine Corps total force to meet future threats.
