ABOUT

Integrated Training Exercise (ITX) 4-19 is a live-fire and maneuver combined arms exercise designed to train battalion and squadron-sized units in tactics, techniques, and procedures required to provide a sustainable and ready operational reserve for employment across the full spectrum of crisis and global engagement.

ITX 4-19 is an essential component of the MARFORRES training and readiness cycle.  It serves as the principal exercise for assessing a unit's capabilities.

U.S. Marines conduct an amphibious assault during exercise Cold Response 2010 in Norway Feb. 19, 2010. The Marines are from Foxtrot Company, 2nd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division. Cold Response 2010, which is a Norwegian armed forces multinational, invitational exercise with participants from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Austria and other NATO partners, is focused on cold weather maritime/amphibious operations, interoperability of expeditionary forces and special and ground operations.
