Task force Marines increase unit readiness through land navigation training at Camp Lejeune
Staff Sgt. Celeb Brill, the staff noncommissioned officer in charge of the law enforcement mobile training teams, and Sgt. David Mitchell, a military policeman, both with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Southern Command, search for a checkpoint during land navigation training at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, May 4, 2020. Land navigation consists of being able to use skills that can help one traverse through unfamiliar terrain by foot or in a vehicle. Marines and Sailors with SPMAGTF-SC are conducting a variety of pre-deployment training events and qualifications to enhance crisis response readiness. These events assist the Marines and Sailors with providing humanitarian aid assistance and engineering projects alongside partner nation military forces in Latin America and the Caribbean. Brill is a native of Lexington, Kentucky. Mitchell is a native of Brewster, New York. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Andy O. Martinez)
