From Jun to Dec 2020, SPMAGTF-SC 20, in coordination with Partner Nations and US Government entities, forward deploys to execute opportune maritime engagements, theater security cooperation, and foreign humanitarian assistance in the SOUTHCOM AOR to increase interoperability between U.S. and select partner naval forces, build a more lethal force, and increase PN ability to export security.  BPT support limited crisis response.

Norfolk based helicopter squadron gets feet wet in desert
Cpl. The flight operation was the first during ITX 2014, a two-week exercise and the first time for the pilots flying in a desert environment since last year’s ITX. ITX is the largest Marine Corps Reserve training exercise with more than 4,000 Marines and sailors participating from units across the United States. The exercise focuses on the tactical application of combined-arms during global contingencies.
