From Jun to Dec 2020, SPMAGTF-SC 20, in coordination with Partner Nations and US Government entities, forward deploys to execute opportune maritime engagements, theater security cooperation, and foreign humanitarian assistance in the SOUTHCOM AOR to increase interoperability between U.S. and select partner naval forces, build a more lethal force, and increase PN ability to export security.  BPT support limited crisis response.

New Orleans-based Marines harvest citrus orchard with Second Harvest Food Bank
Volunteers at Second Harvest Food Bank in Belle Chasse, La. Package kumquats and load them onto a van for shipment Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015. Marines and Sailors from Marine Forces Reserve and Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans gathered with local community members to harvest a citrus orchard, where the fruit was then packaged for distribution to food banks, pantries and shelters across south Louisiana.
