From Jun to Dec 2020, SPMAGTF-SC 20, in coordination with Partner Nations and US Government entities, forward deploys to execute opportune maritime engagements, theater security cooperation, and foreign humanitarian assistance in the SOUTHCOM AOR to increase interoperability between U.S. and select partner naval forces, build a more lethal force, and increase PN ability to export security.  BPT support limited crisis response.

Along with its combat engineer battalion, combat logistics battalion, assault amphibious vehicle and artillery attachments, 1st Battalion., 25th Marine Regiment, conducted a 10-drill MRX in preparation for Integrated Training Exercise 4-18. This MRX was a stepping stone in a force generation plan to ensure that once 1st Bn., 25th Marines, 1st Bn., 23rd Marines, and other ready bench units complete ITX 4-18, they will be ready to rapidly respond to a national security threat with maximum capability.
