Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force, Southern Command - 2020

From Jun to Dec 2020, SPMAGTF-SC 20, in coordination with Partner Nations and US Government entities, forward deploys to execute opportune maritime engagements, theater security cooperation, and foreign humanitarian assistance in the SOUTHCOM AOR to increase interoperability between U.S. and select partner naval forces, build a more lethal force, and increase PN ability to export security.  BPT support limited crisis response.

A U.S. Marine with 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, navigates through Range 400 at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif., Aug. 5, 2019, during Integrated Training Exercise 5-19. After ITX 5-19, 1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment will be activated and deploy to the Indo-Pacific Command to conduct multiple exercises across the region.
