Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force, Southern Command - 2020

From Jun to Dec 2020, SPMAGTF-SC 20, in coordination with Partner Nations and US Government entities, forward deploys to execute opportune maritime engagements, theater security cooperation, and foreign humanitarian assistance in the SOUTHCOM AOR to increase interoperability between U.S. and select partner naval forces, build a more lethal force, and increase PN ability to export security.  BPT support limited crisis response.

Ham, a motor transport technician with Headquarters Battalion, Marine Forces Reserve, ascends a flight of stairs as part of a Total Force Fitness event at Marine Corps Support Facility New Orleans, Sept. 11, 2019. This was part of a MARFORRES Total Force Fitness event inspired by the 18th anniversary of 9/11 and the efforts of the first responders at the World Trade Center. The exercise consisted of Marines ascending and descending a five story stairwell 11 times, resulting in a total of 110 stories, which is equivalent to the height of the World Trade Center.
