From Jun to Dec 2020, SPMAGTF-SC 20, in coordination with Partner Nations and US Government entities, forward deploys to execute opportune maritime engagements, theater security cooperation, and foreign humanitarian assistance in the SOUTHCOM AOR to increase interoperability between U.S. and select partner naval forces, build a more lethal force, and increase PN ability to export security.  BPT support limited crisis response.

U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. David G. Liberto was a Captain with the Mandeville Police Department and was shot and killed in the line-of-duty, Sept. 20, 2019. Liberto previously served 10 years in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve before being honorably discharged as a sergeant. Funeral support is one of the many services Marines provide in communities across the country.
