From Jun to Dec 2020, SPMAGTF-SC 20, in coordination with Partner Nations and US Government entities, forward deploys to execute opportune maritime engagements, theater security cooperation, and foreign humanitarian assistance in the SOUTHCOM AOR to increase interoperability between U.S. and select partner naval forces, build a more lethal force, and increase PN ability to export security.  BPT support limited crisis response.

These training events assist in maintaining a strong and cohesive Navy and Marine Corps team, allowing the Marines and Sailors of the task force to prepare for accessing key maritime terrain, conduct operations at sea and deploy at a moment’s notice. Marines and Sailors with SPMAGTF-SC are conducting a variety of pre-deployment training events and qualifications in order to enhance crisis response preparedness in and around Latin America and the Caribbean. These events assist the Marines and Sailors with providing security cooperation training and engineering projects alongside Partner Nation military forces in Central and South America.
