Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force, Southern Command - 2020

From Jun to Dec 2020, SPMAGTF-SC 20, in coordination with Partner Nations and US Government entities, forward deploys to execute opportune maritime engagements, theater security cooperation, and foreign humanitarian assistance in the SOUTHCOM AOR to increase interoperability between U.S. and select partner naval forces, build a more lethal force, and increase PN ability to export security. BPT support limited crisis response.

U.S. Marines with 3rd Battalion, 14th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division, stage tactical vehicles during a Marine Air-Ground Task Force Warfighting Exercise at MCAGCC, Twentynine Palms, California, Feb. 20, 2025. MWX is a comprehensive force-on-force training event designed to enhance the operational readiness and combat effectiveness of all MAGTF elements by simulating complex and dynamic battle scenarios while refining tactics. Service Level Training Exercise 1-25 is purpose built to increase readiness across Core Mission Essential Tasks, preparing composite task forces for force-on-force operations across a contested multi-domain distributed environment through modern training tools and data capture.
