From Jun to Dec 2020, SPMAGTF-SC 20, in coordination with Partner Nations and US Government entities, forward deploys to execute opportune maritime engagements, theater security cooperation, and foreign humanitarian assistance in the SOUTHCOM AOR to increase interoperability between U.S. and select partner naval forces, build a more lethal force, and increase PN ability to export security.  BPT support limited crisis response.

Marines unload supplies from an Alaska Army National Guard Blackhawk helicopter. The Marines of 6th Engineer Support Battalion are on Nelson Island, Alaska, building a road to benefit the natives of Newtok, Alaska. Because of the remote location of the site, supplies and personnel can only reach the Marines by aircraft or boat.
