Heavy Equipment Operators and other Engineer support Marines will work with repair and maintain the Camp Carter camping site, which is owned and operated by the local YMCA chapter. Both MAW and MLG units are supporting with separate rotations.

Marines from Marine Forces Reserve participate in a 3-mile motivational run Nov. 7, 2014 in New Orleans, La. to commemorate the Marine Corps' 239th birthday. On Nov. 10, 2014, Marines will celebrate the 239th anniversary of the Corps founding in 1775.
