ABOUT 

Heavy Equipment Operators and other Engineer support Marines will work with repair and maintain the Camp Carter camping site, which is owned and operated by the local YMCA chapter. Both MAW and MLG units are supporting with separate rotations.

Marine World War II veteran's remains returned
Marines with Motor Transportation Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 453, Combat Logistics Regiment 4, 4th Marine Logistics Group, Marine Forces Reserve, fold the flag that draped the casket of Pfc. Elmer L. Mathies during a memorial service in Hereford, Texas, May 28, 2016. Mathies is a World War II veteran who was killed in action during the Battle of Tarawa in 1943. His remains were found and recovered on the island in 2015 by the nonprofit organization History Flight, which is dedicated to preserving and honoring World War II, Vietnam and Gulf War combat veterans.
