ABOUT 

The United States Department of Defense Arctic Care Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program in partnership, with the Kodiak Area Native Association, will present “Arctic Care 2021”, a no-cost medical, dental, optometry and veterinary services program to the communities on Kodiak Island from May 5-13, 2021.  Arctic Care provides training opportunities to military units while providing incidental benefit to communities via no-cost healthcare.  The healthcare services will be tailored to the individual needs of each rural community.

Remembering times gone by: Marines visit veteran’s home

Marines and sailors pose with Moreau and his roommate, Vietnam veteran and former Marine Lance Cpl. Robert Brunson, March 28, 2013. Marines and sailors volunteered to visit the home for the first time in 2011 after hearing that residents felt forgotten by their respective military branches. This is the second group to visit the home and more trips are being planned, said Beverly Boyd, MARFORRES protocol officer and organizer of the trip.
